Cats:

* All Adopters must be 18 years of age.

*All the animals in your household must be spayed or neutered and up to date with their shots.

*The Adoption Contract requires that all cats adopted be "indoor" cats.

*Last Hope discourages declawing (declawing is an amputation of the digits of each foot) Last Hope's Adoption Contract requires that the  Adopter "shall not declaw the rear feet of the feline." Last Hope recommends that if the Adopter decides to remove the front claws that the a veterinarian laser or radiosurgery method be performed. Many veterinarians will not perform declawing procedures.

*Last Hope does not place cats in homes operating child daycare facilities.

*Adopters living in rental properties should review their lease or discuss the ability to have pets in their home before adopting an animal.

*Last Hope provides "No Warranty" in regards to future health or behavior of any cat due to it's limited knowledge of the animal's history.

*Last Hope, Inc. reserves the right to refuse the adoption of any cat without stating a reason.

Dogs:

*All Adopters must be 18 years of age.

*All your current animals in your household must be spayed or neutered and up to date with shots.

*Dogs must be indoor pets.

*Last Hope recommends that certain breeds (sporting and working dogs) have a fenced in yard due to exercise requirements and escape risk. Certain dogs based upon their personalities may not be adopted unless the home has a fenced in secure yard.

*Last Hope recommends that the age of children in the home be considered for certain breeds due to the dogs size and personality. The Dog Coordinator will discuss the home environment that works best for any dog being considered.

*Dogs under 15 lbs. are not recommended for families with young children in the household due to the possibility of injury to the small dog.

*Last Hope does not place dogs in homes operating child daycare facilities.

*Adopters living in rental properties must review their lease or discuss the ability to have pets in their home before adopting an animal.

*Last Hope provides "No Warranty" in regards to future health or behavior of any dog due to it's limited knowledge of the animal's history.

*Last Hope, Inc. reserves the right to refuse the adoption of any dog without stating a reason.
